This two-part visible mending workshop introduces simple, coloful techniques for repairing and strengthening well-loved clothing. The first workshop session focuses on mending woven fabrics—shirts, trousers, and household textiles—using patches, darning, and reinforcement stitches.
The emphasis is on practical skills you can use again and again. We’ll work slowly, using thoughtful materials and straightforward techniques that extend the life of your clothes while embracing repair as a visible, intentional choice. Everyone is encouraged to bring one or two items to mend and will leave with repaired garments, a small set of sample stitches, and the confidence to continue mending at home.
